Delaplane, VA

Delaplane used to be Piedmont Station with seven daily trains, but that was back in 1852. Eventually it was renamed for its storekeeper, Washington Delaplane. Nowadays, the railroad station and warehouse hosts the Delaplane Store and Antique Shop. Delaplane is also home to the world famous Delaplane Strawberry Festival normally scheduled the last weekend in May at the Sky Meadow State Park.
