Hume, VA

Hume is home to Leeds Church, founded in 1769 and named for the Manor of Leeds, created by Thomas, Sixth Lord Fairfax, in 1736, after his father’s Leeds Castle estate in Kent, England. Named for the Hume family, the post office dates to 1885 and the present structure built in 1954 is the smallest in Fauquier County. Oasis Winery attracts visitors for wine tastings and special events.
