Morvan Park

Morven Park, the gracious estate of former Governor of Virginia Wesmoreland Davis, is on the National Register of Historic Places and a Virginia Historic Landmark. Its 1200 acres are located just outside Leesburg, a rural city of Loudoun County situated near the Potomac River and the equally historic White’s Ferry – home of the Gen. Jubal Early ferryboat. In addition to docent-guided tours of the mansion, Morven Park boasts extensive gardens, the Museum of Hounds and Hunting, the Winmill Carriage collection, the headquarters of the Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA), and the Morven Park Equestrian Center. On the other side of the original estate is the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center, a veterinary hospital on the cutting edge of equine health care.

The calendar of events at Morven Park includes the Museum of Hounds and Hunting Annual Art Show and Sale, the Virginia Foxhound Club Hound Show, three-day events, dressage competitions, Virginia Regional Pony Club Rally and other associated Pony Club camps and events, VHSA Horse Shows, Combined Driving, Draft Horse and Mule Shows, Celtic Festivals, Steeplechase Races, Antiques Fairs, VADA/NOVA Dressage Shows, Irish Draught Horse Breeding Show & Inspection, Potomac Hound Show, an Edwardian Christmas at Morven Park, and much more.
